Hex-mesh: An Innovative Mesh Grating
Hex-mesh is a unique and highly effective mesh grating that can be
used to reinforce both linings and flooring. Its design is based on
a hexagonal cellular grid shape which firmly holds cement or
refractory in place and ultimately relieves stress in the lining’s
upper crust.
As a result, any cracks or spalls that may occur in the lining
become prevented. In addition to this, another major advantage of
hex-mesh is its strength and corrosion resistance which allows it
to extend the refractory’s life even when exposed to harsh
conditions and hot gaseous substances.
Furthermore, hex-mesh’s design also allows materials it is exposed
to be reflected away from the surface, causing further protection
against erosive agents and decreasing the overall wear and tear
that it may encounter.
